What we took from Grassfeld, and what we changed.
Grassfeld’s site is the structural reference: confident condensed headlines, an ink-and-white base, soft pastel surfaces, a rounded hero container and one simple CTA repeated everywhere. Values below were read from their live CSS. Nonnina keeps the system and swaps the cool fintech mood for warmth.

A grandmother’s warmth, a family’s peace of mind.
“Nonnina” is Italian for “little grandma”: the voice everyone trusts, at the centre of the family table. The product talks with older people who live alone, keeps them company, and tells the family the moment something is wrong.
Never alone at home. Never in the dark for the family.
Our mission: help older people live safely and happily in their own home for longer, with one button, a warm voice and a family that always knows what is going on.
A doorway and a spark.
The symbol is a lowercase n drawn as the arch of a front door, because Nonnina lives at home. The warm spark is the voice: it lights up when Nonnina listens. The symbol takes the place of the “N”: the logo reads Nonnina as symbol + “onnina”. The spark lives only in the symbol.

Functional
Contrast ratios are calculated live in this page against white and Ink. Body text must reach 4.5:1 (AA) on the website and 7:1 (AAA) in the senior app.
Big, condensed headlines. Calm, readable text.
Two Google Fonts, both free and with full Latin Extended for German umlauts and Italian accents. Headlines borrow Grassfeld’s compressed rhythm; body text stays open and generous for older eyes.
Width 75%, weight 800 (headlines) and 600 (soft second line). Line-height .92 to 1. Tracking −2%. Sentence case, never all caps.
Weights 400, 600, 800. Line-height 1.6. Tracking +1%. Minimum 16 px on the website, 24 px in the senior app.
Nonnina is a voice companion for older people who live at home. She talks, reminds and listens every day, and tells the family the moment something is wrong.
Care insurance benefits must be claimed one by one, and many families miss support they are entitled to. Nonnina turns a worried phone call into a clear list of next steps.
Tippen und sprechen
Real homes, real hands, warm light.
Photography carries the emotion; the interface stays in small cards on top. Every image shows a real moment of care at home: hands, tea, a walk, a check-up. Each photo has one job on the site.

The hero follows Grassfeld’s container: rounded, full width, headline left, product right. The photograph does the emotional work and two floating cards explain the product. Switch EN · DE · IT in the top bar to see every language.

Desktop
Hands photo, focal point right of centre. Latte gradient from the left keeps the headline at AAA contrast. Floating cards sit on the dark sleeve area, away from the hands.
Mobile
Swap to the vertical park photo. Headline at the bottom in white on an Ink gradient, a single Sole button, the language pill top right.
Motion
Cards fade up 16 px with a 120 ms stagger, the voice bars move, the sparks twinkle. All of it stops with reduced motion.
Headline rules
Two lines: the promise to the senior, then the promise to the family. Second line lighter (weight 600, Graphite).
CTA
Primary is always “Join the waitlist” in Ink. Secondary is outlined and scrolls to “How it works”.
Language
English by default; DE and IT from the browser language or the EN · DE · IT switcher, remembered locally.
Grassfeld’s rhythm, Nonnina’s story.
Same sequence of big hero, quick proof, grid of features, then alternating deep dives. Every section ends with the one CTA. Photo assignments follow section 06.

Nonnina is not an emergency service and does not replace 112.
Short sentences. Formal and kind.
English leads the website, German and Italian are equal citizens. In the senior app we always use the formal form (Sie, Lei), one idea per sentence, and we never use technical words.
